alt Inc. releases world's first Japanese LLM on AWS Marketplace
API service launched for LHTM-OPT, a lightweight large language model; Japanese LLMs now available for a wider range of applications
alt Inc. (https://alt.ai/en/), the Japan-based developer and distributor of Personal Artificial Intelligence (P.A.I.®️) and AI clone technology (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kazutaka Yonekura), is pleased to announce the world-first release* of LHTM-OPT, a lightweight Japanese large language model (LLM) released in October 2023, on the AWS Marketplace. We are also pleased to announce that we have started providing API services.

alt's LHTM-OPT is a lightweight large language model with high accuracy and processing speed. Since its release in October 2023, it has been used in various applications in Japan because it contains a large volume of Japanese data. This service is provided through our alt developer API service (alt Developer: https://developer.alt.ai/api-doc.html#tag/LHTM-OPT/operation/lhtm-opt-completion).
As a domestically produced private LLM model, LHTM-OPT can be immediately applied to the development of Japanese LLM applications such as automatic responses to questions in Japanese, retrieval-augmented generation, answers based on in-house knowledge bases, and machine translation. We also look forward to applying this service to a wide variety of proof-of-concept projects, and we hope that its launch will facilitate wider utilization in the Japanese-language LLM market.
The API is competitively priced at 12 yen/10,000 alt tokens.

LHTM-OPT is now also available on the AWS Marketplace (https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-nw62wpreit442). You can subscribe to LHTM-OPT via AWS Marketplace and easily deploy it to your own AWS environment. This is the first case of a Japanese company listing a machine learning model in AWS Marketplace.
