alt Inc. releases world's first Japanese LLM on AWS Marketplace
API service launched for LHTM-OPT, a lightweight large language model; Japanese LLMs now available for a wider range of applications
alt Inc. (https://dev-corporate-web.poc-dev.com/en/), the Japan-based developer and distributor of Personal Artificial Intelligence (P.A.I.®️) and AI clone technology (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kazutaka Yonekura), is pleased to announce the world-first release* of LHTM-OPT, a lightweight Japanese large language model (LLM) released in October 2023, on the AWS Marketplace. We are also pleased to announce that we have started providing API services.

alt's LHTM-OPT is a lightweight large language model with high accuracy and processing speed. Since its release in October 2023, it has been used in various applications in Japan because it contains a large volume of Japanese data. This service is provided through our alt developer API service (alt Developer: https://developer.alt.ai/api-doc.html#tag/LHTM-OPT/operation/lhtm-opt-completion).
As a domestically produced private LLM model, LHTM-OPT can be immediately applied to the development of Japanese LLM applications such as automatic responses to questions in Japanese, retrieval-augmented generation, answers based on in-house knowledge bases, and machine translation. We also look forward to applying this service to a wide variety of proof-of-concept projects, and we hope that its launch will facilitate wider utilization in the Japanese-language LLM market.
The API is competitively priced at 12 yen/10,000 alt tokens.

LHTM-OPT is now also available on the AWS Marketplace (https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-nw62wpreit442). You can subscribe to LHTM-OPT via AWS Marketplace and easily deploy it to your own AWS environment. This is the first case of a Japanese company listing a machine learning model in AWS Marketplace.
alt is also currently providing consulting services for the development of private LLMs, customizing them to meet the unique needs of companies and supporting the development of LLMs specific to particular business operations.
