Alt, Inc. which has developed ”al+”, the Personal Artificial Intelligence (P.A.I.) software (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo, CEO, Mr. Kazutaka Yonekura) has commenced a joint research with Professor Phuong LE-HONG of the Hanoi University of Science, Vietnam National University (VNU HUS).

Professor Phuong is an expert in natural language processing (NLP) and is the author of many widely used NLP software such as Vitk, vnTokenizer and vnTagger.

The objective of the joint research is to develop methods for high precision Named Entity Extraction algorithm, an important component to realize advanced natural language understanding technologies and computer-based Question Answering systems.

Further, by integrating Professor Phuong’s language-indepdent natural language processing research and expertises into Alt’s Artificial Intelligence infrastructure, we will attempt to develop artificial intelligence tools for human communication via multiple languages, such as English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese and many others.
